We Love Normandy
Dear friends – old, new and those we have yet to meet!
We love Normandy. Our aim is to help you experience that love. Normandy’s landmarks are well known, and our region is blessed with countless cultural treasures. It is perhaps best known for Mont Saint Michel, the iconic island citadel that receives over two million visitors and pilgrims every year. Normandy is also famous for another medieval marvel, the Bayeux Tapestry. Half a million people a year flock to Bayeux to marvel at this eleventh-century embroidery. Claude Monet’s immortal water lilies still thrive here at his home in Giverny. And in June 1944, the battle-bloodied beaches were the starting point of a liberation that would eventually sweep across Nazi-occupied Europe and free the world from tyranny. Yes, Normandy is a popular tourist destination. But there’s much more to see and do in this beautiful sea-girded landscape, and there’s no need to follow the crowds. So, go where the air is clean, the beaches are empty and the verdant countryside stretches all the way to a distant, misty horizon. Together we’ll explore Normandy’s hidden charms as well as her more popular sites, and make sure your experience is unforgettable.
